  • Gently scrub with the deck brush to loosen any salt or dirt, rinse off with clean water and allow to dry.

  • Once dry protect the fibreglass using August Race Smooth Opacity UV boat polish.
  • For a super high gloss finish for your fibreglass you can apply August Race GRP Sealer, a super-tech polymer coating. Apply GRP sealer to a soft cotton cloth, wipe onto the gel and gently buff with a dry cloth to a high gloss finish.

How to clean vinyl Boat seats:

  • Rinse off the seats with clean water (not sea water) to remove any loose dust or dirt and allow to dry.
  • Apply a small amount of August Race Vinyl Bright to the seat and using a microfibre cloth and work in a circular motion until the seat is clean. For more severely soiled seats use the deep care sponge provided in place of the microfibre cloth.
  • Rinse with clean water to remove an exces Vinyl Bright and allow to dry.
  • You can protect vinyl boat seats using August Race Super Quick Shine UV.

How to clean rib tubes/sponsons:

  • Rinse off the rib tubes or sponsons with clean water (not sea water) to remove any loose dust or dirt and allow to dry.
  • Apply a very small test patch of August Race Liquid Rib cleaner to ensure suitability.
  • Making sure to be out of direct/very strong sunlight and working on a small section of around 1 metre, apply the Liquid Rib cleaner to a clean microfibre cloth and work in a circular motion on the tube. It is normal on sun damaged tubes for the colour to leech onto the cloth, this is removing the dry/damaged material and it will stop once the damaged material is removed.
  • Once clean, rinse with clean water and move on to the next section of tube and repeat the process until the tubes are clean and restored.

How to protect rib tubes/sponsons:
*For fabric impresion RIB tubes skip step one and just apply LR Sealer Coat

  • Once the tubes are clean and dry apply a very small amount of Liquid Rib UV to a soft cotton cloth and work into the tubes in a circular motion until fully absorbed.
  • If a higher spec finish is required you can apply a coating of August Race LR Sealer Coat, an advanced polymer based hydrophobic coating. LR Sealer Coat will give a glossy finish to smooth RIB tubes and sheet water away preventing water beading.
  • Apply the LR Sealer Coat sparingly to a cotton cloth and buff in a circular motion onto the tubes until fully absorbed.

How to clean a RIB hull:

  • Rinse off the hull with clean water (not sea water) or pleasure wash if possible to remove any loose dust, weed or dirt and allow to dry.
  • Fill a bucket with warm water and add August Race Boat Wash Pro.
  • Using a soft bristle brush soak the hull with the diluted boat wash pro and allow to soak in briefly.
  • Gently scrub with the deck brush to loosen any salt or dirt, rinse off with clean water and allow to dry.
  • To remove rust staining or yellowing apply a coating of August Race Bright Coat, leave for the stated contact time and rinse off with clean water.
